St. Joseph's Bread is an Italian Specialty Bread only made to celebrate the Feast of St. Joseph's. While there are many versions of this favored bread our is lightly sweetend and flavored with Anise and Anise Seeds. Our recipe has been being made for many years. My Great Grandma, she was directly from Italy, told my mom (who by the way is polish) that St. Joseph's Bread was the best she had ever had.
